I sell cards....some of which are general designs but I have a lot of specific requests come in and I always try to come up with new and interesting designs. I have a specific range of cards designed for babyloss/angelversaries. I also make personalised wall plaques which are suitable for new baby, wedding, christening or angelversary gifts. I decorate candles to have as memorial items which are decorated with butterflies or stars and have personalised labels. I also make personalised felt christmas stockings which have names embroidered on the top.

My favourite items have to be the wall plaques and my cards which are requested for angel babies. They give so much comfort to bereaved parents to have items made specifically for their precious little angels.

How did you get started/what made you start your own business?
I turned a hobby into a small business after losing my own 9 babies over the last 3 years. My husband and I have had to deal with miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal loss and for a long time I felt quite low. I needed a focus and wanted to turn something very negative into something positive. I understood the need to have cards and mementoes to remember our loved ones and it is difficult to find exactly what we wanted so I started making my own. These were admired by friends and requests were being made for orders. I came across an organisation called Lisas Stars who have a team of knitters around the country making clothing, blankets and teddies for babies who are born too soon. All too often hospitals dont have clothing small enough to fit these sleeping angels and it makes the devastation of losing a baby even worse to see your baby lying naked. It is the mission of LS to ensure this doesnt need to happen. They also try and provide hospitals with memory boxes with small precious keepsakes. I was so touched by their work that I became involved with them and through my sales I make regular donations to them as well as making their cards and items to put in the boxes.
Do you personally handmake all your items or do you also have help?
I make all my own items although at very busy times I do have 2 family members that come along and sit at my table with double sided sticky tape and glue.......along with coffee and cake!
How can you be contacted?
I can be contacted through facebook or [email protected]
Anything you would like to add/message to customers?
I have many ideas of my own and am always expanding on the items I make but love to have a challenge and if anyone has any specific requests then please do not hesitate to contact me.
